Kentucky Museum of Art & Craft

Established in 1981, the Kentucky Museum of Art & Craft in Louisville was formed to support the artistic history of the state. Many exhibits at the museum educate visitors on the various art forms and showcase unique art pieces.

Nulu

Coined Nulu, the “New Louisville,” East Market District is known for its art galleries, specialty stores, antique shops and restaurants. With plenty to do, this trendy and growing area is a great way to spend a few hours while visiting downtown Louisville.

Louisville River Walk

The Louisville River Walk is a scenic trail that travels through downtown Louisville along the river. The trail is over 20 miles long, depending on where you start, and is paved most of the way for easy walking and bike riding.

Derby Dinner Playhouse

One of the oldest and largest professional dinner theaters in the country, the Derby Dinner Playhouse has been open for over 38 years. The playhouse brings in a variety of shows that caters to all ages.

Belle of Louisville

Nearly 100 years old, the Belle of Louisville is a historic steamboat that cruises down the Ohio River. One of the city’s most popular attractions, the Louisville Slugger Museum’s location is must-see spot in Louisville. You will easily find this building, marked by the World’s Biggest Baseball Bat that leans against the side of the building. Over 3 million people have come to visit the museum to learn about the history of the official bat of Major League Baseball. Allow at least 2 hours to tour the museum!

Muhammad Ali Center

A tribute to the great Muhammad Ali, this attraction features media presentations and interactive exhibits that follow the life and mission of Ali. Focusing on Ali’s core values of respect, confidence, conviction, dedication, giving and spirituality, the Center is an educational experience for children and adults alike.

Louisville Zoo

Opened in 1960, our Louisville Zoo today features more than 1,300 animals.  With animals as varied as tigers to albino alligators to gorillas to kangaroos, the six geographic settings offer experiences from around the globe. Visitors can also enjoy free admission to the Calistoga Splash Park to cool off in the hot summer sun.

Louisville Mega Cavern

The man-made Louisville Mega Cavern is 17 miles of corridors located just beneath the city. Visitors will hop on a SUV-pulled tram for an exciting adventure touring the underground for about 60-70 minutes.

Kentucky Science Center

Great for any age, the Kentucky Science Center offers exciting interactive exhibits to engage your mind! There’s also an IMAX theater that shows films about the natural and earth sciences to life sciences and health.

Kentucky Derby Museum at Louisville Churchill Downs

The Kentucky Derby Museum, which sits on the front steps of Churchill Downs, is one of the premiere attractions in Louisville.  Welcoming more than 210,000 guests each year, the museum provides a first-hand look at the event for which the Derby City is known worldwide. The Museum also aims to provide a lasting impression of tradition, hospitality and pride to our many visitors.

Churchill Downs

One of the most famous horse racing tracks in the world, Churchill Downs is home to the legendary Kentucky Derby each May and numerous other races throughout the year. The Huber’s Orchard & Winery has been a family owned business since 1843. With over 600 acres of fruit and grapes grown on the estate, everything from the vine to bottling is done on the property. Frazier International History Museum

Located in the West Main District of downtown Louisville, the Frazier International History Museum showcases Royal Armories artifacts. Among the many exhibits, the museum also has a movie theater and daily live performances of historical interpretations.

Thomas Edison House
